I have seen it on aluminum tubes for bicycle trailers, outdoor gear, collapsible shovels, baby jumpersthe two tubes are fitted so one slides over the other and this piece of hardware locks them together.Various names: Spring Pins, Spring Plungers,Ball Nose depends on where and how they are usedMost of these are used to lightly hold something in position like a cabinet doorBut I think this is what you are looking forThe McMaster Carr catalog calls them by the technical name Quick-Release Button Connectors for Telescoping Tubing Part Number 92988A730Other related question

I attempted Rocky Road brownies todayI bought a box of regular ol\' fudge brownies, hazelnuts, and marshmallowsI undercooked the brownies (the batter already had the nuts) and then put the marshmallows on top, put them back in the oven for 5 minutes til the marshmallows puffedI let them cool, and when I tried to cut them, I could already tell they were disgustingThey were cake-like, and the marshmallows ending up sticking more onto the knife than they stayed on the brownieWhere did I go wrong?? Marshmallows aside, I still undercooked the brownies a good 10 minutes (at 350 deg) on a nonstick pan lined with tin foil.I can\'t present them like this to my boyfriend tomorrow, so I\'m going to give them to the concierge guys downstairs and want to start over. Can someone tell me a foolproof way to get boxed brownies super fudgey and moist? No recipes from scratch please, I can\'t afford to make them from scratch. Also, I would like to include the hazelnuts again, they tasted amazzziiinnng.Usually the boxed brownies have two recipes on it, one for cake-like and one for fudge browniesI would say, cook it longer than you did before, and when a tooth pick is almost clean, but still slightly sticky, then add the marshmallowsIf you ask me, I would skip the marshmallows, and stick with the hazelnutsI would also grease the pan instead of using aluminum foil.Other related question

Good pan for cooking frittatas

I\'m looking for a pan for frittatasIt appears that most nonstick omlette pans are oven-safe only to 450 degrees, which means that I can\'t put it under the broiler - I think? Anyway - if anyone has any recommendations, please sharePreferably not too expensive, \'cuz I\'m brokeThanks!Usually the degree limit is to protect the handleSince you would only be putting it under the broiler for a very short time, if you wrap the handle in aluminum foil completely, it will protect it for that short time and you can use the pans you haveIt works with baking at a higher temperatures as well.Other related question

what kind of metals are found in an integrated circuit?usually aluminum, gold, copper, tin/antimon alloys metals like lead and berylium are pretty much gone due to ROHS ! Berylium oxide was used for high power packages because it conducts heat better than regular ceramic, gold is used for metalization on the die as well as for bond wires altough many integrated circuits unless they are for RF use aluminum bondwires (lower cost ) copper is normally used for the frame and the pins both which are plated with a tin antimon alloyOther related question

how is aluminium formed into different products?Usually it is first formed into huge rolls of a thickness the customer wantsThen it is pressed by pressure into the form needed for the productOften it is pressed in steps from one shape to another to lessen the stress on its molecular structureIt is the most recycled product world wide.Other related question

Why did the Bush administration lie about the aluminum tubes

The Energy Depthad told them the tubes couldn\'t be used for nuclear centrifugesMonths and years afterwards Bush and Cheney lied on national TV about this.We found out after the war began that Bush came to office wanting to invade Iraq again and \'finish the job his father started\'Bush arrived at the White House with an agenda already set an in placeHe used 9/11, as he used every crisis and emergency during his years in the White House, as a justification to pursue this pre-set agendaThere are web pages that list as many as 20 or 25 reasons Bush came up with to invade IraqOne after another these reasons were discredited, and Bush would just drag out another oneSaddam had helped Al QuaedaSaddam was in league with terroristsSaddam had bio and chemical weapons with which he planned to attack the USHe had unmanned aircraft that could reach the US and do serious damageHe had nuclear weapons! No? Well he had a nuclear programNo? Well he had nuclear program related activitiesHe\'d bought tons of uranium ore from NigerHe had mobile WMD labs The aluminum tubes was just one more phoney reasonIt came, was discredited, and forgotten, replaced by other justificationsIf the news media had been doing their job they would have pointed out \'This is the 17th reason Bush has come up with for why we must immediately invade Iraq.\' Instead they treated each new revelation as something new, actual evidence, actual \'news\'Paul Wolfowitz, one of the main architects of the plan, openly admitted some years later that the WMD was a red herring, a fake issueIt was just something we could all agree on, he saidThe real reasons for the invasion had nothing to do with WMD.Other related question

I have a LOT of scrap wires just laying aroundThe ones i have stripped are solid copper or soldered copper (with tin i believe)Am i wasting my time by stripping it, or should i just leave the wiring inside of its plastic jacket? Where is a decent resale place? I also have quite a few aluminum heatsinks and older computer parts lying around for resale alsoThanks! We do this, tooWe take stuff to a metal recycler in our area that we found in the yellow pages under \'recyclers-metal\' or something similarWe have several in the area, so we called around to see who bought what we wanted to sellAt first, the place we go only took wire if it was stripped, but now they take it either way (pay a little more stripped, tho)Since you don\'t say where you are, I can\'t find a place for you - you\'ll need to check your local phone bookFind a place to buy it first - once you have, they can tell you which way they need it and how much they\'re paying (varies)Generally, the same place will also take your aluminum, too (pop cans, also, if you save them).Other related question

How to make an insulated box that is designed to retain heat

I have a science project where I have to make some sort of box that can keep the heat inside of itThere is also going to be some container that has to be put in the box, that will be filled with some warm or hot water and my box/insulated device, has to keep the water as warm as it can beI can only make this out of wood, paper, cardboard, natural fibers, organic granular material, aluminum foil, and fastening materials, such as tape, glue, screws, bolts, nuts, nails, string, etcSome prohibited materials include any type of foam (plastic, medal, expandable glue, etc.), plastic (except for as part of fastening materials listed above), bubble wrap, glass, commercial insulation, etcI really want to get a good grade on this so please help meThank you :-)We always used two nested styrofoam cups in a lab experiment Making a calorimeter from them was a popular high school project Without something like styrofoam, the ideal would be to trap a vacuum, the next ideal would be to trap dry air The aluminum foil could be used to reflect radiant heat, natural fibers could be used to trap air and wood could be used to make the containers, basically a foil lined box inside a larger box with material to trap air between them I\'d be tempted to crumple paper to trap the air.Other related question
