| How to keep stuff like foil campfire packet meals from tasting like the aluminum |

I love the convenience of aluminum foil packet meals, like the ones you place in the coals of your campfire full of chicken and sauce and veggies, all sealed in one neat little packageThey\'re usually pretty delicious and hard to mess up, however, I find that many things cooked in foil tend to pick up that metallic well.foil tasteHow do you get rid of that, or better yet, prevent it? Can you coat the foil that touches the food in something to create a barrier? Is there an ingredient you can add that will eliminate the flavor? Any solutions are welcome, thank you!use name brand foilCheap foil can do that sometimesspray cooking spray on the foil before adding the food for a layer of protectionUsually high acid foods take on that taste the most, like anything with tomatoes or lemon.Other related question

i kinda need the kind that is round? anyone got an idea? using colored aluminum paper i think? thanks!use gift wrapping paper (colored foil) cut into 2 foot length by 0.5 cm wide. Then once you think you have enough gather in the middle using cotton or string tie around the gathered bunch (in the middle) for the hand grip you could go to the cheap shop and buy a skipping rope, take the rope out and place the foil into the end or with thick cardboard make your own hope this helps lisac.use gift wrapping paper (colored foil) cut into 2 foot length by 0.5 cm wide. Then once you think you have enough gather in the middle using cotton or string tie around the gathered bunch (in the middle) for the hand grip you could go to the cheap shop and buy a skipping rope, take the rope out and place the foil into the end or with thick cardboard make your own hope this helps lisac.Other related question

How about shoe shine on a saddle?Use leather cleaner, lots of rubbing and then start againIt will work outI like the wear old pants when riding strategyIt may make it a little easier and less elbow greaseFor the rust, use aluminum foilMake sure it is dry (saddle and foil)At first it will get black (and your hands), but then it will be gray and what isn\'t damaged and pitted out by the rust will shine up like newSwap out foil as needed (you will know when to)Once you get it as good as it is going to get, you can take a slightly damp cloth to it to wipe off anything extraBrasso will help shine up the rest if you want to do something easy for resultsTake a clean, dry cloth and get a little bit of Brasso on itIt will be a cream color to start out with - have ventilationRub it in small circles to get the best effectAt first it will turn black as you rub it - keep goingIt will rub right off as you go and leave a great shineIt is used on all shinning stuff in the military and on my tackRepeat as desired for more shineI was able to make my stirrup irons into great mirrors! :-)Other related question

I need to label things with tape and marker What kind of tape can I write on that won\'t wipe off?Use freezer tape and a permanent markerBe sure that the ink dries thoroughly before handling - it takes less than a minuteYou can usually find the freezer tape on the isle with the baggies, wax paper, aluminum foil and freezer paper or near the canning supplies in your grocery store.Use freezer tape and a permanent markerBe sure that the ink dries thoroughly before handling - it takes less than a minuteYou can usually find the freezer tape on the isle with the baggies, wax paper, aluminum foil and freezer paper or near the canning supplies in your grocery store.Other related question

How to remove rust from cast iron skillets?Use fine steel wool and dish soapScour the rust out of the panThen rinse and dryNext season the skillet by coating it in a thin layer of cooking oil, then baking it on in an oven (350 for an hour)Make sure to put down aluminum foil to keep the oil from dripping in the ovenSome people use vinegar or lemon juice to try to remove the rust, but you\'ll still end up scrubbing it with steel wool.Other related question
