What\'s the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons in an atom of aluminum-27? Why?The atomic number of Aluminum is 13 (look at a periodic table)This means 13 protons and 13 electrons (since these are oppositely charged they have to balance each other.) To find the number of neutrons you subtract the number of protons from the atomic mass (the atomic mass is 27)So 27-13 14 neutronsOther related question

| How do AR style rifles differ from the last generation of mil spec carbines |

I look at an AR, and all I see is a carbine dressed in fugly Ikea furnitureWhat can I say? I like a walnut stock and grip.So are ARs just tacti-cool, to appeal to the youth market?Aside from weight, do they have any advantage over the older mil spec rifles? The AR platform is different from past generations of rifles, the design is entirely different The AR-15 and variants( aside from piston driven versions) are dirent impingement gas operated rotating boltHaving a upper lower receiver made of aluminum and barrel made of either chrome or stainless steel The polymer parts ie handguard and stock are better for humid conditions as it doesn\'t swell or splinter like wood can A quad rail is for mounting optics and accessories, it has a purpose The AR15 never had a wood stock or gripIf you prefer walnut and blued steel I suggest you look into guns like the M1 Carbine, M1a, M1 Garand, Marlins, Winchesters, Henry\'s , ect ectAs for the round the 5.55x45mm NATO round was easier to control under full auto fire than the 7.62x51mm NATO M14The magazine also held more rounds though the military is using both 7.62 and 5.56 now The AR15 is a practical modular platform which is why its so popular, the older guns are great too, maybe you should try one at a range.Other related question

| Aluminium VS Platinum conduction |

It is known that atoms containing between 1 and 3 valence electrons are the best conductors.Aluminium which contains three valence electrons is a better conductor than platinum, which only contains one valence electron. Why is Aluminum a better conductor then platinium, even though platinum has less valence electrons? (and prove it.)The answer lies in the nuclear shielding that occurs in the platinum atom because of the orbital ringsIn the platinum atom, there are 6 orbits of electronsThe valence electrons fall in the last orbit with just 1The aluminium atom only has 3 orbits and therefore has less nuclear shieldingAlso if you look at the electron configurationThe p orbit, which is were Aluminium is in, is more lose because of less compacting that is occurringWith the d orbital, your electrons are more tided up and not as easy to release and create charges.Other related question

what is the best way to cook a corn beef round? The answer to your question is BRAISEAround StPatrick\'s day, i always cook a corn beef in a crock pot with some kind of liquid and about twenty minutes before I serve it I add the cabbageBut if it is not St Patrick\'s Day, I usually season it with salt and pepper, but it in a non-stick casserole dish and add stock, beer and/or wine and seasoningson special occasions I add stewed tomatoes and wrap the meat and liquid in aluminum foilI braise all meats that come from shoulder and shankMeat that comes from the back will not benefit from braising because it doesn\'t have the connective tissue that braising will break downCan i come over for dinner? | why does cheese mold faster in aluminum foil rather than out in the open |

i did a science project on moldy cheese and i put a slice on a plate on the counter than i wrapped another slice up in aluminum foil then i wrapped another slice in cling wrapand aluminum foil molded fastest, and in second the cling wrap molded and then the one that was left out in the open didnt really mold, it just quot;sweatedquot; and was oily and discoloredso i wondered what was in aluminum foil to make the cheese mold. The answer is moistureThe cheese on the plate dried outmold needs waterThe sweat you saw was was oil that was squeezed out after the water evaporatedThe foil kept the moisture in and made it darkerMold does not need dark but seems to do betterThe mold spores are actually in the air, and handling the cheese to place it in the 3 places was enough to inoculate the cheese.Other related question

i want to store some dry icehow thick of aluminum is needed to safely store dry ice? i have an one eighth thick rectangular aluminum tubewould this blow up if i put dry ice in it? it needs to be able to withstand temperatures of 800 degrees Fahrenheitplease answer with care because if it blows up i could seriously get hurtdry ice has a pressure of 870psi at room temperatureand i am it is going to get up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit so its just to call it safe tell me how thick an aluminum would have to be to withstand 2000psi.The answer is FORGET ITThe melting point of aluminum is about 1220 FIt will be considerably weakened at 800 FIf whatever you are heating it with creates a hot spot I\'ll send you a get well card.Other related question
