How many atoms thick is a piece of paper? The answer depends on the density of the atomRemember there are 113 (112 discovered) atoms on the periodic tableFor example, take aluminumIt would be about 50,000 of those atoms to be equal the thickness of a sheet of aluminum foilSo roughly 125,000 would be the thickness of printing paper.Gold, however, would only be 10,000 atoms to achieve the same thickness of the foil the chewing gum is wrapped around withSo an approximate would be 30,000 atoms to match the thickness of printing paperHope you found this helpful! And remember, do some of your own research too.Other related question

Aluminum foil or plastic wrap: when wrapping leftover food, which is better and why?The answer for this depends on what it is and how you are storing itIf you are storing a meat in the freezer neither, it should be wax paper with a label to know what it isIf it is something you are going to fix with in a couple days a plastic wrap would be good so you see it and remember it and don\'t let it go badIf you are freezing something that will stick use wax paper wrap or if all you have is aluminum foil use itplastic wrap should only be used for temporary wrappingPlastic wrap makes a good short term and fridgerated wrap because it gives a good sealDon\'t forget, do not refreeze most meats, such as chicken and pork.Other related question

| What occurs when you put a penny on top of foil and add water |

We had to do a lab activity in chemistry today, and it involved putting a piece of foil (dull side up) in a beaker, a penny on top, and adding waterWe previously let it sit there for 48 hoursThe penny turned black underneath and the foil had wholes in it and turned a slight rusty color. Can someone please explain what chemically happened and what role the water, penny and foil played in the lab? I\'m really confusedThanks a lot!The aluminum reduced the oxide coating on the copper pennyThe aluminum, by reducing the copper oxide, became oxidizedThe aluminum lost electrons and the penny gained electrons It is kind of like the reaction in a battery.Other related question

| An Aluminum ion Al3 has How many protons Electrons How would you figure that |

I know the answer is 13 protons 10 electronsWhy would it be 10 electrons ,doesn\'t proton electrons ?how did they get 10?The Aluminium “atom” has the atomic number equal to 13, which means it has 13 electrons and 13 protonsThe net negative charge due to electrons is equal to the net positive charge due to protons, thereby making the Al atom neutralBut the Al3+, i.e., aluminium cation, has 3 positive charge which it attains after losing 3 electrons (protons are not lost, there remain in the nucleus of the atom)The formation of ions means that the neutrality of the atom is lost, so the number of electrons and protons can’t remain equalThe noof electrons in Al3+ 13 - 3 10 The noof protons in Al3+ 13Other related question

i havd had some success usuing a ziploc aitight platic bag for smaller piecesis this ok? any other tips pls? thx!The airtight part is good (protects from moisture) but the plastic is not goodIt is not recommended to store silverware in plastic, aluminum foil or newspaper, or using rubber bandsStore it in a wooden drawer or chest with a protective lining, not directly on the woodAvoid moisture (so a lined, airtight, wooden chest is good) and avoid lightTo avoid scratches, don’t store them loosePut them in cloth bags Obviously only store them when they are clean!Other related question

This is an existing sunroom built with aluminum roofing panelsWe would like to quiet the rain noise by installing a shingle roof over the aluminumI\'ve considered trying to cover with osb then install shinglesAny ideas would be appreciated. The added weight of osb plus roofing paper plus shingles is a big problem for the aluminum panelsYou had better consult a structural engineerI have a sun room that had an aluminum roofIt was leakingI was up on the roof and nearly fell throughI took off the roof and installed a 2x6 by 12 ft wood roof over a 10 ft room; giving a 2 ft overhangThe roof slope was too low for shinglesWith advise from a roofing supplier, I went with plywood and a two layer roll roofingNo nailing except around the very outside edgePeel and stick roll roofingAdded R19 fiberglass between 2x6\'s and sheet rock underneath.Other related question

Will a 11 lbs Solid Forged Steel Anvil be good to shape Copper Nuggets, Tin Ingots, Lead Ingots, And/Or Aluminum Ingots? And /or on any.?That\'s a little light, but if those items can be forged by a hammer less than 1lb then it should be okThe general rule of thumb is 1lb of hammer to every 20lbs of anvilSince you aren\'t blacksmithing I think you can get away with pushing that ruleIf the anvil does jump around you can mount it on a heavy steel plate to add mass.Other related question

I am going to go on a 3 week long camping trip where I\'m not even bringing a tent, here is what I\'m bringing so far, please add to it.-Binder full of different things such as descriptions on plants and etc that I can eat or use, animals and how to hunt specific animals, and etc also includes directions, maps, a notebook, an inventory chart to keep track and some other things too.-a hatchet-knife-pot for boiling water or cooking other food-a bag of rice-a bag of dried meat-a backpack-twine-canteen-a cooler with no ice just to keep the temp of things a little more steady-two boxes of matches and a flint and steel set in case-a sleeping bagPlease feel free to add to the listThere isn\'t very much food because I plan on trapping and finding most of my foodI have done something similar to this just not as intenseThanks! That sounds like a lot of funBeing surrounded by the wilderness and nature away from civilizations and all it\'s crazy noisesAs a Boy Scout in my early years, and on camping trips.I\'d always make sure to bring the followings: -Bugs spray (keeps ticks and mosquitos away) -Aluminum foil paper (the new pocket types are even better for cooking vegetables such as wild mushrooms, fish, crayfish, and other meats) We used to wrap chopped vegetables and meat together using a few pieces and just throw it over the charcoals (not the flame) of the fire, and after it was done, we\'d seasoned it w/ a little bit of salt and black pepper and enjoyed it.mmmm-compass and mirror (most have the mirror on the back side) -net w/ small holes wide enough to cover face, but small enough to keep bugs from biting while sleeping-I have a Swiss multi-purpose plier w/ spoon and fork attachments-the most useful tools ever invented for outdoor people-rope (long enough to tie your food in a bag and throw over a tree branch, and suspend it in the air so bears, racoons, and other night critters can\'t reach it while you\'re fast asleep or away from the camp site) -sea salt (preserve meat and for seasoning purposes) That\'s pretty much it.other than that, you have already lists most of the essentials required for a 3 week camping tripHave a great time! I\'ll be on a week camping trip in about another 3 weeks.only with tents thoughYou\'re a whole lot tougher to go on one w/o tents.Other related question
