I want to try to bake some cookies ( sugar cookie ), but then I don\'t have wax paperSo i want to ask, is it okay if i use a metal tray, and then i put a layer of aluminium foil with coating a thin layer of butter or vegetable oil, and place my cookies?? pls reply now thanks!Yes you canOr, as the other people said, you can bake them on the sheet pan without foilHowever, the foil makes clean up a lot easierAnother option would be to buy a silicon baking mat, called a silpat matJust lay the mat on a sheet pan and bake your cookies on the matThese mats are great and you don\'t need to oil themThey are reusable, cheap and make clean up a snapthe cookies never stick to themThey are a good option for parchment paper or wax paperand they have multiple uses(By the way, I\'ve used foil many times to bake cookies and it works greatWhy the thumbs down?)Other related question

can you change the shape of alum crystal

well i want to know if can change the shap of the crystal or how to change it while you are still making it, for example while you are making it is there any way to make the crystal square or roundplz helpYes you can, once the crystal is a solid, you dissolve it in a suitable solvent at elevated temperature. Then after you remove any undissolved material or impurities by filtration, the filtrate is cooled slowly to allow crystals to form. The slower the crystals grow and the larger they become, the purer the substance. That experiment demonstrates crystal growth from an aqueous solution.Using potassium aluminum sulfate(known as alum)The crystals shape si determined by the directions that grow the slowest.Other related question

Why are pop cans shaped the way they are

Your average pop can in the US is 4.75 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide with a volume of 23 cu inIf aluminum can manufacturers would change the dimensions to 3.09 inches tall and 3.08 inches wide it would maintain the same volume yet the can would have a lower surface areaA lower surface area means less aluminum needed to make the canLess aluminum means the can will be cheaper to produce and more environmentally friendlyThe saving per can would be pretty small, however with the amount of pop being drunk per year this would add up to a huge revenue boost for the pop manufacturers. Is there any logical reason to keep the less efficient can size?Yes! Great question, by the wayThe reason that pop cans are shaped the way they are is due to them being shipped by airIf cans had the dimensions that you mentioned, they would explode at a high altitudeThere is also a small space between the liquid and the top of the can to help prevent this, so a little extra aluminum is neededThe dimensions of soda pop cans use the least amount of aluminum possible, while allowing the cans to be freighted by air without the risk of explosionEdit: Trust meIt is the air freight thingSend an email to a soda pop can producer and ask them if you don\'t believe me.Other related question

So I am making this cake that calls for a tube pan but the only problem is that I don\'t have one!! I only have a pan that you use for angle food cake!! Can I substitute the Angle food cake pan for the tube pan? THANKS SO MUCH!!!YES!! a tube pan is another name for an angel food cake pan! Also a Bundt pan is a tube pan! And the Magic Cake pan from Wilton is also a tube pan when the little tube is inserted in the center I have an antique tube pan that the bottom does not come outI have molds in copper and aluminum that can be used as tube pans I need a new angel food cake pan as mine got dropped and is bent so it does not hold the batter in it any more!Other related question

Is it possible to install carpeting with a curving shape to it and tuck and tack it up against ceramic tile? Without using a transition strip? ThxYes you canYou would need sections of wooden tack strips following the curve to hook the carpet toThe gap between the carpeting and tile would be covered by a metal transition stripThese strips are usually aluminum, which can be bent in a large radius and knocked into place along the curved transition.Other related question

So I made Buñelos for the first time, my grandma\'s Recipie and they came out very good (pats myself on the back) anywhoo, after they are finshed and cooled, how do you store them? In an airtight container? I can remember my grandma line a box with aluminum foil, and then putting plastic wrap over themBut, I don\'t know if that was because she didn\'t have the means to have Tupperware, in fact I don\'t think she needed Tupperware her food was so yummy we never had leftovers! I need an answer soon, thanks in advance!Yes, a Tupperware container or airtight Ziploc bags (large) are good storage items.Other related question

Is tin foil antistatic

I\'m sending a graphics card back for return tommorow but have no anti-static bags - I don\'t want it to blow in transit and have my return denied because of that, but they cant expect me to return it in the original non resealable bag.so, I need a makeshift option and tin foil was suggested somewhere.Yes, aluminum foil is completely conductive and a circuit board completely wrapped in it is isolated from electric fields The only thing to be aware of, is that it tears easilyUsed it oftenWorks so well, it is opaque to airport inspection equipment, so the bags got opened a lot.Other related question
