And how many magazines do the give you when you walk out the door?Do you ever run out of rounds in combat?US Army personnel used the M14 service rifle up through at least 1969 in Basic Training (Boot Camp)However, during AIT (Advanced Individual Training) which immediately followed Basic Training, men scheduled for Vietnam were trained with the new Jungle Rifle.designated the M16Men sceduled for Europe (Germany) retained the M14 service rifleThe M14 served as an infantrymen\'s rifle in Vietnam with US troops, from about 1965 until approximately 1967; by which time the M16 was nearly fully transitioned into the unitsUS Army (US Marines may have been different) riflemen utilized two canvas magazine pouches on their pistol beltsOne on each side, each able to contain two all steel M14 magazine with a 20 round capacity5 magazines were normally carried by riflemen; four on the pistol belt within the two above described pouches, and one in the rifleNearly always.the M14 rifle was issued with a bayonet; it was considered part of the rifle (except at the rifle range)The M14\'s magazine was made of steel and only held 20 cartridgesCarrying more than those above described 5 magazines would have been a heavy loadThe M16 used ALUMINUM magazines; seven of those could be carried in a bandolier with ease Yes you can run out in a firefight or if your supply chain is cut offMy father served in Korea and when the chinese attacked, they just kept attacking until the UN forces ran out of ammo.Other related question

| How can I make a sturdy 2 sphere for a piece of art |

I need to create or buy a sphere approximately 2\' in diameterIt must be sturdy enough to support plaster molds or foam filled castings of human arms plastered to the surface as if radiating from the originOptimally, the arms have to be attached well enough to the sphere to support it from the groundI am open to any ideas as far as the material of the sphere, the arms, or how to connect the two.Use a big beach ball (they come in sizes up to 5 feet), place it in a plastic trash bag; then cover it in aluminum foil, tape if need bestand it on a round waste paper basket/ trash can; paint or trowel with fiberglass resin and cover with fiberglass cloth; cure, invert and repeatBuild up as many layers as you think you need to keep in strongYou must sand between layersFollow all precautions while working with fiberglass resinWhen cured you will be able to drill and bolt attachments onYou could make it out of papier-mâché if your attachments are made of the sameThat would be a whole lot easier, cheaper and less toxicIt would be kind of like a giant piñatasee video links below:Other related question

Stripped the plug hole on the oil pan and now a new plug has a snug fit, but has a drip around the oil plugIts located on the side of the oil panIm thinking just taping over the oil pan plug completelyShould it work and any advice would be appreciate itThank youUpdate if you are really determined to not take a he plug outit may work to put a thick layer of gasket maker on a 4-5 square piece of aluminum foil and clean off drain plug and area and smear a light coat of gasket maker all around the area with finger tip and avoid spreading the oil that is seeping out to creat like a primered surface and quickly place the square piece of aluminum foil with the gasket maker on it over the plugI don\'t think any tape over it will work, you may just need a new oil plug washer gasket or rubber washer, if that does not seem likely key it may work either way you will need to take the plug out and save the oil in a pan to put back in when you are doneclean the threads real good with paper towels and rubbing alcohol or brake clean or carb cleaner or something and when the threads are clean and dry put some Permatex Ultra Black Maximum Oil Resistance RTV Silicone Gasket Maker 3.35 ozon the threads and screw the plug back in and let that dry before using Thread tape may work but the gasket maker will.Other related question

question about Al .Aluminium reacts rapidly with oxygen in the airWhy then are aluminium saucepans and foil seemingly inert in kitchens?Unlike iron that produces soft rust that can be easily scraped off, aluminum oxidizes to for a tenacious protective film that inhibits further oxidationIf the film is scratched a new film quickly formsThe aluminum film renders the foil or saucepan nearly inert (although many avoid boiling acidic foods in aluminum pots and pans because of concerns about ingesting too much aluminum).Other related question

I have been trying this problem for long and couln\'t get itCan you help me get this calculus problem?1) Finding the Original Temperature of a Beam, An aluminium beam was brought from the outside cold into a machine shop where the temperature was held at 65 degree FAfter 10 minutes, teh beam warmed to 35 degree F and after 10 minute its temperature was 50 degree FUse Newton\'s Law of Cooling to estimate the beam\'s intial temperature.2) Carbon-14 Dating Measurement Sensitivity, To see the effect of a relatively small error in the estimate of teh amount of carbon-14 in a sample being dated, aswer the following questions about this hypothetical situation. Here: A fossilized bone found in central Illinois in the year A.D2000 contains 17% of its original carbon-14 contentEstimate the year te animal died.Other related question

long story short i\'m trying to make an etching into something i made out of wood using a wood burneri believe the technical term is pyrography or somethinganyways i found a google image of what i want, but my art skills are lacking when it comes to drawing free handi can wood burn just fine, can\'t draw to save my life thoughso how do i get the image onto the board? mind you i\'m just using this as a stencil for the burning so it doesn\'t have to be perfectunfortunately, everything i google comes up with perfect permanent solutions that use like parchment paper with inkjet prints or some kind of specialized tool i don\'t have or know how to get.Unless you plan on tracing the whole thing using carbon paper, you are stuck using permanent solutions that use like parchment paper with inkjet prints because why would people develop temporary for the very few people doing pyrography and needing transferDoesn\'t matter that it is permanent, you are going to burn through it, right? Parchment paper is available at any grocery store in the aluminum foil/wax paper baking supplies area.Other related question

Hey guys, I need some help removing scratches from bare aluminumI removed the stock paint using 80 and 120 grit sandpaper, but now it\'s full of scratchesWhat should I use to get it off? Thanks alot!Unless you can power buff , the best you can do by hand is maybe a fine satin finishFirst try to get scratches down using the finest wet/ dry paper Avoid abrasive paper after thatCould rub w/ very fine steel wool Not too big a piece might use a buffing wheel on a fast drill or bench grinder using auto polishing compound or metal polishPink first (coarse) then white (fine) which are close to metal buffing rouges There are fine grained aluminum polishes availableMarine supply stores have some good metal polishes protectantsBest regardsOther related question
