Which way should the foil be placed to speed up the cooking of the baked potato and why? This response is from the Reynolds Wrap FAQ website: Which side of Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil should I use, the shiny or the dull side? Actually, it makes no difference which side of the aluminum foil you use—both sides do the same fine job of cooking, freezing and storing foodThe difference in appearance between dull and shiny is due to the foil manufacturing processIn the final rolling step, two layers of foil are passed through the rolling mill at the same timeThe side coming in contact with the mill\'s highly polished steel rollers becomes shinyThe other side, not coming in contact with the heavy rollers, comes out with a dull or matte finishThe exception is when using Reynolds Wrap® Release® Non-Stick Aluminum FoilThe non-stick coating is applied during manufacturing to the dull side of the foilAlways place the non-stick (dull) side toward the food.Other related question

My daughter\'s boy friend is allergic to egg, milk, beef, nuts and peanutsand he doesn\'t much care for soy milk so what can i make fudge out of for himI figured I could use shortening, powder sugar, and cocoawhat else could I addanyone have a good vegan recipe that doesn\'t use any milk of any source at allthe quot;milksquot; are too expensive anyway to only use for fudge and he doesn\'t care for themThis should do the trick: Quick Fudge 1 pound confectioner\'s sugar 1/2 cup cocoa 1/4 teaspoon salt 6 tablespoons butter-flavor Crisco 4 tablespoons water 1 tablespoon vanilla Combine all ingredients in top of double boilerPlace over simmering water and stir until smoothSpread candy quickly in 9 x 5 loaf pan lined with no-stick aluminum foilCool; cut into squaresYield: 2 dozen pieces I usually put 1 cup of chopped nuts in it, but since he\'s allergic to nuts, if you want an add-in you might want to substitute something like toffee piecesThey are available where the chocolate chips are in the supermarket.Other related question

This is the catch I need to make about 440sq inches of ginger breadThis recipe makes about 225 sqinches of ginger bread.so if you double this recipe you should have enough for your 440 sqinchesGingerbread Dough 1 cup butter at room temperature 1-3/4 cups brown sugar 1-1/4 cups white sugar 2 tablespoons molasses 6 eggs 6 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 tablespoon ground ginger 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon allspice Preheat oven to 325°F degreesLine several cookie sheets with aluminum foilButter and flour the foilIn a large bowl, cream the butter and sugarsBeat in the molasses and eggsIn another large bowl, sift dry ingredientsCombine mixtures and knead into a smooth ballCover and refrigerate at least 30 minutesOn a well-floured surface, roll out a small amount of the dough until it is 1/4 inch thickCarefully cut out one part of the houseGently, using the spatula, lift the dough and place it on the foil-lined, prepared cookie sheetCut out all of your piecesBake for 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly firmLet cool on racks until firm enough to handlePeel the foil off the sections and set the pieces aside to dry thoroughly overnight.Other related question

| Separate Recycling Bins for Paper Plastic etc |

Our family is looking into recycling our waste, but we only have one recycling binWhen we recycle, do we have to have separate bins for plastic, paper, aluminum, cardboard, etcor can we just throw everything into one bin (like we would with a trash can).If it does require us to separate the waste ourselves, where can we find extra recycling bins for the other materials. Thanks This really depends where you live, however since I am cheap, this is what I do: We have one big bin under the kitchen table - I got it at Target, we fill that with recyclables, remember no plastic bags - you have to bring those to the grocery stores and they will reuse themNo shiny cardboard boxes either (like some cereal boxes) if they are shiny they are covered in plastic and the plastic and cardboard cannot be separatedThen find a mixed-recycle dropNo need to separate if you have a mixed-recycle drop in the area, which most places doIt is becoming much more populationUsually there are several in the area - google can find this easilyIf you\'d like you can do curb side pickup for about $25 a monthIf you decide to do a recycle drop NEVER drop your recycling when the bins are overflowing, this jeopardizes the recycling programAlso I\'d recommend dropping it off on a Friday or Thursday, everyone does their chores on the weekend and those things are full by Sunday Best of luck!Other related question
