My 4 year old got some nail polish on my comforter and sheet on my bedHow do I remove it from fabric? I tried nail polish remover but it only makes it lighter and doesn\'t remove it.Soak the spots in a bowl of full strength nail polish removerJust wad the entire area right into the bowlLet it sit for a whileThe polish should waft offMake sure you don\'t spill any nail polish remover on anything valuable(You might sit the bowl on top of aluminum foil or some other form of protection.) Then launder the comforter and sheet as usual.Other related question

Miss m had some good onesanyone have anymore? (That you have actually tried) How did it turn out?sprinkle cinnamon to get rid of ants scrub sterling silver with white tooth paste or baking soda and aluminum foil boil baking soda and water in a microwave to soften those microwave crusties remove candle wax from glass votives by freezing the votive in the freezer and then chipping it out with a butter knifeany waxy residuals will wash out in hot soapy waterclean a keyboard with a cotton swab remove ball point pen by immeadieately spraying it with hairspray and then washing place 2 tennis balls in the dryer with your clothes to fluff- reusable and cheap! wet a wash cloth with liquid fabric softener and let dry- use that instead of dryer sheets- will last quite a while and its cheaper than dryer sheets- plus no waste!Other related question

I\'ve seasoned pork shanks/ veal shanks with plenty of kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thinking they would be tasting amazing, But it makes sense that the braising liquid would dilute all that flavor off them right? Because after the meat is done (3+hours), the meat itself doesn\'t even taste like it had any seasoningIs this normal??Some recipes.need to be adjustedI would try dry roasting before adding the braising liquid./ Wrap the meat-in aluminum foil-for the first hourRemove-the aluminum foil-add your liquid.to finish.(or begin a basting process)-with the aluminum foil-partially open./Other related question

My husband brought home an antique cooking pot for meIt is a half moon shaped aluminium pot with a handle at one of the pointsThe points are rounded and it has a lidI haven\'t measured how much liquid will fit in it yet but my guess is about 10 cups or soI have no idea what this is forHelp please. Some pots like that come from the precurser to the steam tableThe sat in large pots on the stove to keep things hotThere was an old electric stove that the back left burner would lower down by twisting and unlocking it, and a pot would sit down in it with the warming pots inside.Other related question

so my science project is: what materials conduct static electricity best?and i made an electroscope by taping 2 strips of aluminum foil onto a straw and putting that straw onto this cup.anyways, i tried rubbing silk, cotton, hair, wool, and newspaper onto my plastic ruler and bringing it close to the aluminum foilhowever.for most of the objects, one of the aluminum strips seems to attract to the ruler but the other one repels it.wtf?what is happening, and why?should a silk, cotton, wool, newspaper, or hair charged ruler attract or repel the aluminum strips? Some materials hold their electrons very tightlyElectrons do not move through them very wellThese things are called insulatorsPlastic, cloth, glass and dry air are good insulatorsOther materials have some loosely held electrons, which move through them very easilyThese are called conductorsMost metals are good conductors How can we move electrons from one place to another? One very common way is to rub two objects togetherIf they are made of different materials, and are both insulators, electrons may be transferred (or moved) from one to the otherThe more rubbing, the more electrons move, and the larger the static charge that builds up(Scientists believe that it is not the rubbing or friction that causes electrons to moveIt is simply the contact between two different materialsRubbing just increases the contact area between them.) Static electricity is the imbalance of positive and negative charges OPPOSITES ATTRACT Now, positive and negative charges behave in interesting waysDid you ever hear the saying that opposites attract? Well, it\'s trueTwo things with opposite, or different charges (a positive and a negative) will attract, or pull towards each otherThings with the same charge (two positives or two negatives) will repel, or push away from each other.Other related question
