Okay .If i have Aluminum (a positive ion with 3 electrons in its outer shell) and i have Chlorine (a negative ion with 7 e- in its outer shell) how do i combine them to make a neutral compound?do you get Al3Ch ?the 3 is a subscriptI also have to do Magnesium + Bromine sodium + oxygenlithium + oxygenand a few moreif you could explain why it would be great too!thanks for reading all the way through thisSince Al has a +3 charge, you need 3 negative charges to neutralize the moleculeYou\'re combining with Chloride (Cl) which has a -1 charge, so you need 3 to get a -3 charge totalYour compound will then be AlCl3Same with the others, you need the same amount of net negative and net positive charge to end up with a net neutralAnd a side note about your definition of ions: Aluminum is a positive ion because it loses those three electrons in the outer shellThis leaves it with a full outer shellLikewise, chloride gains one electron in its outer shell, giving it a full shell (8 e-) and also a net charge of -1The gain or loss of electrons is what makes them ions, and they will not have the same electron configuration as a neutral atom.Other related question

The specific heat ofaluminum is 0.897 J/g · KAnswer in units of J.Since there is no change in the state of Aluminum, we have the heat needed ( say Q J ) to heat 56 g of Al from 27 C to 99.8 C- Q mass of Al x specific heat capacity of AL x rise in temperature of the sample Q 56 x 0.897 x ( 99.8 - 27 ) J Q 3656.8896 J Answer Answer Which may be round up to 3656.9 J .Other related question

Reasons to choose aluminium
Rain and damp in coastal environments, big cities and close to industries, may contain salt or acid pollutants with low pH values. In such surroundings roofs and walls are exposed to great stress in the form of corrosion. Plannja’s series of profiled aluminium roofing and wall cladding has exceptional tolerance to salt and acidic oxides and is therefore an excellent choice for roofs and walls in aggressive environments. If aluminium sheet suffers a scratch or other damage, an oxide layer is immediately formed on the exposed surface. This means that the aluminium actually repairs itself and always protects against corrosive attack – whether or not the sheet has a protective paint finish.
Aluminium’s main advantages include low weight and the ease with which it can be processed.
Advantages of roofing sheet
Aluminium and steel have several shared advantages compared to many other roofing materials.
• Low weight. A concrete tile roof weighs more than ten times as much as a Plannja steel roof and 20 times more than our aluminium roofs.
• 100% Recyclable
• Non-organic; does not bind moisture
• Requires minimal maintenance
• Long-lasting
• Easy to work

My mother was going through her jewelry and gave me an old silver braceletIts very pretty with an intricate design, but because it\'s been put away for so long it\'s really tarnishedI don\'t have any jewelry cleaner at home, so I was wondering if there was any way I could clean the bracelet with products found at home?Silver Polishing silver while wearing rubber gloves promotes tarnishInstead, choose plastic or cotton gloves Baking SodaApply a paste of baking soda and waterRub, rinse, and polish dry with a soft clothTo remove tarnish from silverware, sprinkle baking soda on a damp cloth and rub it on the silverware until tarnish is goneRinse and dry well Aluminum Foil, Baking Soda, and SaltPlace a sheet of aluminum foil in the bottom of a pan, add 2-3 inches of water, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt, and bring to a boilAdd silver pieces, boil 2-3 minutes, making sure the water covers the silver piecesRemove silver, rinse, dry, and buff with a soft clothThis method cleans the design and crevices of silver pieces ToothpasteTo clean off tarnish, coat the silver with toothpaste, then run it under warm water, work it into a foam, and rinse it offFor stubborn stains or intricate grooves, use an old soft-bristled toothbrush.Other related question

I was named after my grandma who died before I was bornShe gave me a silver chain with her/my name on itI got lots of tarnish on it by wearing it in water when I was youngerIs there any way to remove it? I tried tooth paste and it helped some.Silver polish is available in almost every grocery storeIt\'s not all that expensiveDo NOT use a toothbrush as recommended here as it will severely scratch itSilver is a very soft metalAnother home concoction is to take a glass bowl and line the inside of it with aluminum foilAdd a teaspoon of salt and a 1/2 cup of baking sodaBoil some waterPut your chain in the bowl and pour boiling water over all(The chain has to be touching the foil.) Let it sit for half an hour then rinse wellIf need be, repeat.Other related question

HiI\'m looking for some fun and yummy recipes to use with a campfire.We\'re going to do the obvious ones (s\'mores, potatoes and corn on the cob in foil, hot dogs on a stick), but what other things have you made with your campfire? We don\'t have a tripod with a grill pan or hook, so it has to be something that can be cooked in foil or on a stick/camp fork.We have a table-top grill as well (well, we have a full kitchen because we\'re borrowing a camper), but I really want to use the fire as much as possibleThanks!Silver turtles (foil dinners) are good2 12x12 sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil 1/4 lb of meat, patty or crumbled 1/2 med potato, sliced or diced 1/4 med onion, sliced or diced diced bell peppers diced carrots shredded cabbage mushrooms seasoning to taste oil (if low fat meat, just a teaspoon or so) Place ingredients (that you like) onto one foil piece, starting with meat and ending with seasoning fold up as packet and seal edges by rollingPlace seam side down on other piece of foil and fold up again and sealPlace on coals, 15-20 minutes then turn over for another 10-15 minutesCarefully remove (don\'t burn your self) Let sit 5-10 minutes (if you can) Slice through foil, roll back edges and eatStick BiscuitsMix up biscuit dough using slightly less liquidRoll into a rope about 12-15 inches long and 1/2 to 2/3 in thickWrap in spiral around end of stick Hold over fire, rotating to keep from unwrapping and cook until golden brown Gently free from stick and eatStick may need to be oiled and care in choosing stick for cooking, non-toxic wood, I prefer Alder or MapleBag Breakfast small brown paper lunch sack 2 pieces thick bacon cut in half 1-2 eggs salt - pepper String Put bacon in the bottom of the bag and hold over coals until grease starts showing through the bag Crack eggs into bag, tie string to neck of bag and stickUse stick to hold bag over coals until eggs are done.Other related question
