Formability :
1. 5052
aluminum sheet has good hot plastic process. The forging and die forging temperature is 420 ~ 475°C, and the deformation rate is more than 80% in this range.
2. The cold stamping performance is related to the status of aluminum alloy, and 5052 aluminum sheet has a good cold stamping performance in annealed condition.
Welding performance :
1.5052
aluminum sheet has a good performance in gas welding, arc welding, resistance welding, spot welding and seam welding performance, but 5052 aluminum sheet may appear ystal crack in argon protected welding, its brazing performance is good, but a poor soldering performance.
2.5052 aluminum sheet has a high intensity and plasticity, weld strength can reach to 90% to 95% of the matrix metal strength, but its weld tightness is not high. So we recommend the 5A03 alloy solder, it can improve the weld tightness and eliminate cracks.
3.The cutting machining properties of 5052 aluminum sheet is not good in annealed condition, but has a perceptible improvement in the process of cold hardening.
