| how can you make glitter dissolve |

im trying to make a cosmetic product for eyeshadow and was wondering if you could make it so when you wipe off your face with or soap or something that the glitter would just dissolve?Very difficult to get glitter to dissolve without using extremely corrosive solventsGlitter is a mixture of various copolymers and aluminium foil, onto which various metal salts are coated so that they reflect light in various coloursAs you can imagine, actually dissolving a plastic is something that is only really possible at elevated temepratures (greater than 120°C), and dissolving metals requires an acidI would suggest a better solution would be to allow the glitter itself to remain intact, but to use a carrier system that can easily be washed off, thereby taking the glitter with itFor example, if you were to disperse the glitter into a light colourless gel then the gel could be wiped off the face with simple soap and water, and the glitter would wash off with the gel.Other related question

Such as sandwich baggies, shredded cheese bags other misc packaging that does promote recycling by use of the symbol?Very generally speaking, the items you mention are not recyclableThe difficulty would be that the facility that ends up with your recyclables would not be able to tell what the items are made of, so they would have to discard themSandwich baggies are usually made with 4 plastics, which many recycling facilities do not acceptI\'m not sure what the shredded cheese bags are made of; different manufacturers would use different types of plastics, but the cheese bags may also be 4\'sAt my Recycling Center, we do not accept food wrappers or baggies for that very reasonUnfortunately, not everything is recyclableBut bless you for trying!Other related question

Venison sausage and elk meat question?Venison and elk are lean meats with little or no fatIt\'s going to be dark red in color with little or no trimYou should always take a whiff of the meat if you have any questions regarding freshnessAlso, don\'t wrap meat in aluminum foil and freeze itWrap it in seran wrap or better yet put it in zip lock bags to ensure that there won\'t be freezer burnFor flavor, the best thing to do for meat (whatever cut, or animal) is to cook it fresh within a few days without freezing.Other related question

Any good Vanilla Fudge resipies?Vanilla Fudge 500g caster sugar 2 x 170g cans evaporated milk 4 tbsp milk Pinch of salt 100g butter, cubed, plus extra for greasing 1 vanilla pod, split 1Line a 20cm-square cake tin or similarly sized loaf tin with silver foil, extending the foil over the edges of the tinGrease the foil and set aside 2Put the sugar, milk, evaporated milk, and salt into a large panPlace the pan over a low heat and stir gently until the sugar has dissolved, then increase the heat to medium and bring the mixture to the boil, without stirringOnce boiling, lower the heat and cook, stirring frequently to prevent the mixture sticking, for 30 minutes 3Remove the saucepan from heat and add the butter and vanilla pod but do not stirLet the mixture cool, without stirring, for about 15 minutes 4Remove the vanilla pod and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until it becomes thick and just starts to lose its gloss (this should take about 10 minutes) 5Pour the fudge into the prepared tin, leave for about 30 minutes, then score into 2.5cm squares while still warmLeave until cold (it will remain quite soft-textured), then use the foil to lift the fudge out of the panCut into squaresStore in an airtight container in the fridge.Other related question

I have seen it on aluminum tubes for bicycle trailers, outdoor gear, collapsible shovels, baby jumpersthe two tubes are fitted so one slides over the other and this piece of hardware locks them together.Various names: Spring Pins, Spring Plungers,Ball Nose depends on where and how they are usedMost of these are used to lightly hold something in position like a cabinet doorBut I think this is what you are looking forThe McMaster Carr catalog calls them by the technical name Quick-Release Button Connectors for Telescoping Tubing Part Number 92988A730Other related question

When building mechanical machines, what materials can you use to make parts out of? I don\'t have a 3d printer and I\'d to use something other than woodI would like my parts to be plastic, but how do you make plastic shapes without a 3d printer? Let\'s say I wanted to make gears and piston modelsWhat material could I use? Where do I start??Usually u can get ready made plastic gears for most needs. However their module and dias are of standard Youll have to make you model according to those standardsHowever if u really want specific gear sizes youll have manufacture them yourselfAnd as for materials try aluminiumOther related question

Which alloy of aluminium is used for making aircraft parts?Usually, aluminum is mixed with different percentages of lithium, and depending on the purpose of the aircraft part, these alloys are heated and prepared with many complex methodsCommercial aluminum-lithium alloys are targeted as advanced materials for aerospace technology primarily because of their low density, high specific modulus, and excellent fatigue and cryogenic toughness propertiesCommercially pure aluminum has a tensile strength of about 13,000 psi, but by rolling or other cold-working processes, its strength may be approximately doubledBy alloying with other metals, such as lithium, and occasionally magnesium, together with the use of heat-treating processes, the tensile strength of an aircraft may be raised to as high as 96,000 psi, or to well within the strength range of structural steelThe aluminum alloy material, although strong, is easily worked, for it is very malleable and ductileOne disadvantage of aluminum alloy is the difficulty of making reliable soldered jointsOxidation of the surface of the heated metal prevents soft solder from adhering to the material; therefore, to produce good joints of aluminum alloy, a riveting process is usedSome aluminum alloys are also successfully weldedThe various types of aluminum maybe divided into two classes-casing alloys (those suitable for casting in sand, permanent mold, and die castings) and the wrought alloys (those that may be shaped by rolling, drawing, or forging)Of the two, the wrought alloys are the most widely used in aircraft construction, being used for stringers, bulkheads, skin, rivets, and extruded sectionsCasting alloys are not extensively used in aircraft.Other related question

and trying to control meWear a metal helmet when you are outdoorsA colander or an old WW2 army helmet with the secret radio receiver ripped out will work fineFor your home, lining the walls, floor, windows and doors with aluminum foil or sheets and grounding it will make a Faraday cageThis should block most of the weaker transmittersBut if the government notices a big chunky blob that is shielded, they will turn on the big units and concentrate beams at youThen you will have to go mobileNever use anything but public telephones and library computers for Internet.Other related question

What is the best way to cut a 100% perfectly straight line on a 10 inch long paper without messing it up?We used a rotary-style paper cutter when I was a photographer in the NavyIt was much better than a chopper-styleNice, clean, straight cuts Without running out to buy extra equipment tho\' I would have to say yardstick/razor knife/prayer is your best optionRemember to pray because the knife is very sharp and will likely cut into the straight edge, even one made of aluminum (I\'ve done it), leaving you with a less than perfect cut and a damaged rulerPlus, there\'s the possible slip/jerk/bump/shift factor unless you clamp the stick downI think if you NEED the cut to be 100% perfectly straight, look into a rotary paper cutter.Other related question
