Okay, when I turn it on it acts like its in sleep modeThe computer itself is running but the monitor is still blackTo get it to finally turn on I literally have to warm it upI have to either wrap it up in a blanket or put it in sleep mode confined so the heat will stay inWhen I heat it up it will start up like normal and I can do everything but when I turn it off I have to warm it up for 15 minutes or so before I can get it to start upIt\'s really weird, I\'ve never seen this beforeBut after about 10 times heating it up it always seems to work, so I\'m doubting it\'s just coincidence.Other related question

How to make sundried tomatoes?thinly slice your tomatoes, spread them on something they won\'t stick to-I like a lightly oiled pane of glass set over a sheet of aluminum foil-point them towards the sun and set up a couple sheets of aluminum foil around the edges at the right angles to concentrate the sunThey\'ll dry out quite fast, and flies shouldn\'t be a problem, but you can cover them with a screen if you likeCheck them at times for water content-I like them just a little bit chewy, not bone dry-then pack them in a glass jar if you like, fill it with olive oilYum!Other related question

I\'ve got flour, sugar, milk, oil, cocoa powder, and unsweetened chocolateDoes anyone have any recipes or suggestions? I\'ve got spices/vanilla/etc, just don\'t have any butter (if it\'s only got a little I can manage, since I have a bit of margarine spread that would probably be okay for a couple of tablespoons worth, but I don\'t want to use a half cup of it, you know?).Thick Chocolate Pudding SERVES 4 Highly Rated 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup cocoa 3 tbsp cornstarch 1/8 tsp salt 2 cups skim milk 1 tsp vanilla extract In a 2-qtmicrowave-safe bowl, combine the first four ingredients Stir in milk until smooth Microwave, uncovered on high for 3 minutes; stir Microwave 4-6 minutes longer or until thickened, stirring after each minute Stir in vanilla Pour into individual serving dishes; cool Refrigerate Garnish with whipped topping if desired- Extra Rich Dark Chocolate Brownies (Adapted from a 1940’s recipe) (I like it chocolatey) Makes 32 bars (2″x1″) Hand mix brownies, makes them tender3/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa 1/3 cup plus 2 tbsp Canola oil 1 cup sugar 2 well beaten eggs 1/2 tsp vanilla 3/4 cup sifted flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt Optional Can kick the chocolate level a notch: Add 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips in the chocolate mixtureWhen brownies just come out of the oven, spread mini chocolate chips and spread like frosting…yum…Preheat oven to 350°Line 8” square pan with aluminum foil (easier to lift brownies out of the pan to cool) and grease insideMix together in large bowl: cocoa and oilBlend in sugar and eggsSift flour and measure 3/4 cupSift together sifted flour, baking powder and saltHand mix into chocolate mixtureDon’t over mixPour into the 8” square panBake about 8 to 10 minutesInsert toothpick in the center, if it comes out clean, it’s doneWhen cool, cut into bars and remove from panFor easier brownie cutting: Use a pizza cutter- 1/4 of Recipe (for 8” pan of brownies): Never Fail Chocolate Frosting 3/4 cup sugar (granulated) 3 tbsp margarine Pinch of salt 3 tbsp cocoa 3 tbsp milk Mix ingredients together and bring to boil Cook 1 1/2 minutes after it comes to a boil (or mixture reaches soft ball stage, 240 degrees) If no candy thermometer is available, test for soft ball stage by dropping a small amount into cup of waterRemove from heat and beat until creamy-Other related question

| What to cook with Tenderloin |

I am attempting to cook one of those Hormel Pork Tenderloins tonight, the teriyaki one (also, is there a better tasting one?), and I was just wondering what would be the best way to cook it without drying it out and also what would be a couple excellent side dishes with it? Thanks for your help!They\'re easy to cook, and especially if you have a probe thermometer so you can just set the temp you want (I set mine for 153-155º F since meat will rise another 5 degrees while resting after cooking).or you can just use the recommended time on the pkg which I can\'t remember now (about 30-35 min, I think)Those Hormal tenderloins really will not dry out, even uncovered, because they\'ve been well marinated (and probably brined too) unless you overcook them of course(No basting necessary with these.) Personally, I like the Black Peppercorn one the most, but some of the others are okayFor hunks of meat, I usually have a starch on the side plus one veggie and often fresh fruit Some possibilities for starches would be noodles (or egg noodles topped before serving with a bit of butter and grated parmesan), or brown rice, or potatoes of some kind, yams, etc If you put the tenderloin on a piece of aluminum foil (on a baking pan) that\'s not much bigger than the bottom of the meat and make kind of a little wall with it, you\'ll have enough juice after cooking to lightly pour over the slices you\'ll cut and/or over any starches (if the area is open and too big though, those juices will harden on the foil)I make one corner of the foil into a little spout to facilitate the pouringFor Asian-flavored meat/poultry/fish entrees, I might do a veggie like sesame spinach, or green beans (espthe long skinny Asian ones) sauted in garlic and perhaps balsamic vinegar, etc, or just any plain green veggie like broccoli or a side green salad, etc.Other related question

| If aluminium reacts with silicon what happens |

i mean what happens electronwise? they always put the same example all the time of NaCL but that does not help me understand how elecvtrons reactbecause one is very reactive and the other is very elctronegativebut what if their electrons dont meet the exact supply and demand? what if we have silicon (4 in its outer shell) and aluminium (3 in its outer shell) will they react?or calcium (2 outer shell) and nitrogen (5 in outer shell)They use NaCl as an example because it is simpleAs soon as you move away from these simple compounds, things get much more complicatedIn the case of AlSi, there are no simple AlSi compoundsA combination of Al and Si produces an alloy, actually a very common casting alloy is Al+Si because it forms a broad range of alloys with melting ranges less than Si or Al Al and Si are fully soluble in each other when molten but, as it freezes, the Si and Al separate (mostly) and form a two phase alloy with areas of Al with a little Si in it and areas of Si with a little Al in it I am not aware of any Ca nitride compounds but there are many nitrides used in industryTi-nitride is the gold colored coating applied to many drill bits because: 1) it sticks to steel very well (when applied correctly) 2) it is very very hard and 3) it prevents rustYou should not feel bad if you feel that there are things about electrons you do not understandUnderstanding how electrons behave is difficult, the best scientists we have still don\'t understand everything about all the ways that electrons behaveI believe it was Einstein who said that, if you can\'t explain something to a 5 year old, maybe you don\'t understand it very wellQuantum mechanics (the math that describes how we think electrons behave in pretty gory detail) certainly qualifies as something we can not explain to a 5 year oldhope this helpsOther related question

I have some dead leaves that are trapped in an unreachable place and I want to break them down into a fine sludge or silt What will do the job without hurting the aluminum that contains them? Chemicals? Enzymes? Please helpThanksThey will eventually break down on their ownBut if you want to speed up the process, sprinkle a little diluted Miracle-Gro on themThey will form a rich compost, not sludge or silt.Other related question
