Many Americans recycle glass, plastic and cardboard, but a lot of aluminum gets carelessly thrown away. So much of this lightweight metal is discarded that the U.S. commercial airline industry could replace its entire fleet every three months, according to a publication by the University of Colorado.
Making new cans out of old ones saves a lot of energy. According to the Windstar Institute, a manufacturing company could make 20 recycled aluminum cans by using the same amount of energy necessary to make one new aluminum can from bauxite ore. The Reynolds Metal Co. adds that recycling just one can saves enough energy to power a TV for three hours.
More on the many uses of aluminum:
During World War II, aluminum foil was so vital to the defense effort that families were encouraged to save it. In many towns, balls of foil could be exchanged for free entry into a movie theater.
Nearly 75 percent of all aluminum produced in the U.S. is still in use today.
Aluminum can be recycled over and over without any loss of quality, and an aluminum beverage container can be recycled and back on the shelf within 60 days.

Untreated bronze is sometimes anodized to make it stronger and more resistant to wear. In order to anodize a metal, an electrical current is passed through it in such a way that the anodized metal forms the anode in the electrical circuit. This attracts oxygen atoms to its surface, forming a protective oxidation layer. Though oxygenated metal can be weaker than metal that has not reacted with oxygen, as in the case of a rusty piece of iron, some metals, including aluminum, are made stronger when they are oxygenated through anodization. With a protective layer of atoms on the outside of it, a piece of anodized bronze is able to withstand exposure to temperature, water, and radiation better than it would without this layer.
Bronze can be made up of a number of different metals, though copper is the primary component. The most common type of bronze is copper and tin, a combination that forms a hard metal that is prone to breaking and fragmentation. Combinations of copper and tin are not put through the anodization process because neither copper nor tin form a protective layer when anodized. Instead, bronze made from copper and between 5% and 11% aluminum is usually made into anodized bronze because aluminum can be anodized.
Anodized bronze is more durable than non-anodized copper-aluminum bronze is. Anodizing this type of bronze helps to keep it from cracking, breaking, or chipping, especially when it is exposed to the elements for a long period of time. It may also be anodized in order to produce an aesthetically pleasing finish on the piece of bronze. The color can vary between a light, gold-orange to a deeper orange with reddish hues.

Aluminum cookware consists of pots and pans commonly used for stovetop food preparation and baking. It's generally suitable for use on electric or gas-powered cooktops or conventional ovens. It's also a popular choice for camping due to its light weight and good heat conduction properties.
Based on its affordability and excellent heat transmission traits, aluminum cookware is a popular type of cookware. Other popular materials for cookware include stainless steel, cast iron, and teflon.
There are three common types of aluminum cookware: pressed, cast and anodized. All three share the advantage of conducting heat with speed and uniformity. They differ, however, in several other qualities including cost, damage-resistance, and heat-retention.
Pressed aluminum was the first type of aluminum cookware that was mass-produced. Based on its affordability, it is still a popular choice among many cooks. Its disadvantages include its reaction to acidic and salty foods, which create pits in the cookware surface and permits small amounts of aluminum to leach into the food being cooked. Another drawback to this type of cookware is its somewhat weak construction. This frequently includes less than secure handles as well as a proneness to dents and scratches. The fragility of pressed aluminum may also result in a bottom that becomes uneven and no longer sits flat on a stove’s burners.
Cast aluminum cookware is generally considered to be of higher quality than pressed aluminum cookware. It's much thicker than pressed aluminum, which makes it more resistant to warping or damage. Cast aluminum is also better at retaining heat than pressed aluminum because it is thicker.
Anodized or hard-anodized aluminum cookware is customarily considered the highest quality of the three common types of aluminum cookware. It's also usually the most expensive. It is treated by an electro-chemical process that boosts the aluminum surface’s natural oxide film and makes it harder than steel. This treatment also makes it nonreactive to acids or salts and virtually impervious to scratches or dents. It is normally lightly seasoned with a light coating of oil rubbed into the surface, much like cast iron cookware, which gives it a natural, non-stick cooking interior.

Aluminum cookware has been around for a long time and has been improved a lot from the early days. It is one of the most popular types of cookware a long with stainless and cast iron. More than 50% of all cookware ever sold is made of aluminum. Researchers have suggested that aluminum might cause Alzheimer's but there is no evidence to prove that in the case of cookware. To be on the safe side, avoid cooking highly acidic or salty foods in aluminum pans as low grade aluminum cookware will leach out small amounts of aluminum into your food and the pans get pitted.
There are some different types of cookware on the market today such as pressed, cast, and anodized. Lets take a look at these.
Pressed aluminum costs the least and is generally located in the cookware section of a supermarket or some other retail establishment. Its sale price is cheap and it is known for its screw-in handle and thin construction. In addition, it comprises the highest percentage of aluminum utensils being manufactured today. But these aluminum utensils typically do not last long as the handles become loose or fall off completely and it is really a matter of getting what you pay for. So, I cannot recommend this sort of aluminum cookware because over time your costs will be greater and the taste of your food will be inferior.
Now, cast aluminum is satisfactory and worth the money that you spend on it, being manufactured in a slower, although more costly, process, the final product being one which is typically thicker than the pressed aluminum cookware. Further, the bottom and the rims of the pots and pans may be fashioned to be of greater thickness than the sidewalls. A result of such construction is that the aluminum utensil will be less likely to warp or become "out of round." Cast aluminum has a better heat retention quality than pressed aluminum because it is more porous. With the exception of copper, aluminum cookware is known to be the best in conductivity. You must exercise caution when purchasing the first two kinds of aluminum cookware and be certain that you read the label. Most brands are polished or coated, and so knowing exactly what you are buying can be extremely hard, and you certainly do not need to spend more than is necessary.
Lastly, anodized or hard anodized aluminum cookware is the top and this is the kind which I advise that you buy. Hard anodizing results from an electro-chemical procedure which enhances the natural oxide film found in aluminum. In addition, this procedure results in the aluminum having a hard, non-oxidizing finish that doesn't stick and is resistant to scratching. There will then be no reaction between the aluminum and either salty or acidic foods. And the surface achieves a hardness greater than that of steel. It s not difficult to understand the durability which the aluminum then has. This type is the best of the three. Hard anodized aluminum cookware can be identified by the dark gray color it assumes due to the anodizing procedure. This kind of aluminum cookware is the most costly of all types, but it is well worth the money. Food won t stick, it is simple to clean and it is light weight. This kind of aluminum cookware is in the class of stainless steel, cast iron and copper cookware.

#5083 aluminum plate
It is a kind of high precision aluminum plate designed to meet customer needs to reduce residual stress, improved surface quality、superior accuracy of thickness and surface flatness.
5083 has fine and homogeneous grain structure, with specific state of stress digestion, which makes almost no deformation after high speed cutting and milling.
Comparatively, rolled plate sheet has orientated structure with strip distribution of grain along the processing direction, which makes more or less deformation of the parts after machining.

Aluminium colour coated sheet price is related to the sheet's alloy and paint types. Color aluminum sheets are a new type of material popular in the construction industry. The most frequently applied ones are 1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx series, such as 1050, 1060, 3003, 3004, 3105, 5005 and so on. Generally 5xxx sheets are more expensive than 1xxx and 3xxx ones, for their production entails more complicated processes. Because color coated aluminum sheets resist bending and withstand harsh environments such as outdoor ultraviolet radiation, wind and rain, they are extensively used in interior decoration, outdoor decoration and electrical appliances. Paint types cover pe, pvc and pvdf, among which pvdf costs most. Correspondingly pvdf coated aluminium sheets are dearer.

In addition, the price of colour coated aluminium sheet plates is similar to that of aluminum plate and aluminum foil, which fluctuates daily with the price of aluminum ingots. Because colored aluminum coils have an extra roller coating process, their price is closely related to factors such as paint quality, paint thickness and paint color. What's more, paint type influences complexity level of colored sheets, too. Generally speaking, the process of fluorocarbon aluminum coils is more complicated and the products have better weather resistance. Therefore, the processing costs are higher.
Here is an example of calculating Aluminium colour coated sheet price. If you need to order a batch of 3003-H24 fluorocarbon color aluminum coil (white), the product specification is 1.0 * 1500 * C, the film thickness is 25um, and the surface is covered with a transparent protective film. The quantity is 12 tons. The price of aluminum ingot is 1,000, then the price should be: (aluminum ingot price + processing fee) * quantity = (10000 + 8500) * 12 = 222,000.
