ive been working with parts for a robot without gloves and ive manged to 3 cuts in my fingers, also my hands get covered with powdered aluminum from sanding the peices, can this be dangerous to my health?ALUMINUM DUSTS ARE CONSIDERED NUISANCE PARTICLUATES, WHICH HAVE LITTLE ADVERSE EFFECT ON LUNGS AND DO NOT PRODUCE SIGNIFICANT ORGANIC DISEASE OR TOXIC EFFECTSBreathing anything but air is dangerous. You should wear a mask when sanding anything. If your getting large amounts of dust near your face wearing goggles is a good idea.When working with aluminum, wear leather gloves to protect your hands, goggles to protect your eye and a dust mask to protect your lungs. Aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer\'s and other neurological conditions.Aluminum it\'s self is not dangerous. But as for as cuts, Any cut can become infected from germs from any source.I dont think its really dangerous but I also dont think its healthy you should try using dust mask when you do that kind of sanding..Other related question
