What is the difference between different tempers of 5083 marine aluminum plate? - askaluadmin - 12-31-2024

H state is a common temper of finished aluminum plate, which means that the aluminum plate has been hardened by work and has improved its strength. It is further divided into multiple tempers. Among them, 5083h111 is suitable for products that have undergone a moderate amount of work hardening after the final annealing, but the degree of work hardening is not as good as that of H11 temper. 5083H112 is suitable for the free processing state of hot-rolled plates and hot-processed products. 5083H116 is suitable for products made of 5 series alloys with a magnesium content of ≥4.0%. 5083h321 has good performance stability.

When it comes to marine aluminum plate, the first thing that comes to mind is 5083 aluminum plate, which belongs to the 5 series aluminum-magnesium alloy. It is currently widely used in ships and yachts, with medium and thick aluminum plates being the most commonly used. Common tempers are H111, H112, H116, and H321, which are commonly used aluminum alloy materials for domestic and foreign shipbuilding companies.
