Is Aluminium good for packing? - MichaelWarner - 12-03-2018

Hello there,
I need to move a large photograph to my new house. The frame is 14×22. I got it as a gift from the place I was working before.Big Grin While I was searching for how to pack it, I came to know that aluminum is good for packing artworks. As per what I heard, Aluminium foil provides a complete barrier to light, oxygen, moisture and bacteria.  For this reason, Aluminium foil is used extensively in food and pharmaceutical packaging. It is also used to make aseptic packaging that enables storage of perishable goods without refrigeration if I am not wrong. When I talked with a custom crating services here, they also told me that Aluminium is one of the best options when it comes to packing something like paintings and photographs. Since you guys are expert on this topic, I thought of asking it here whether Aluminium is good for packing, especially when it comes to packing paintings and photos?
