What is the atomic weight of aluminium? - aadaasdark8072 - 06-28-2019 Atomic mass of any element ( except Hydrogen whose atomic is 1u ) is mostly (roughly) double of its atomic number ( for elements with lower atomic numbers as I have seen ). Atomic number of Al is 13 and, its atomic mass is (roughly its double + 1 i.e. ) 27 u RE: What is the atomic weight of aluminium? - Keganhirl - 06-28-2019 The atomic weight of Aluminium is 26.9813 but for convenience we take it as 27. It can also be stated as follows: The number of neutrons in Al is 14 i.e. n = 14 The number of protons in Al is 13 i.e. p = 13 Thus, Atomic Mass (A) = n + p = 14 + 13 = 27. |
