Sheet-metal diamond mesh pattern - aadaasdark8072 - 06-17-2019

I have various sheet-metal gaurds to model with a diamond pattern mesh sheet-metal panels.

Is there a quick way to create a diamond mesh sheet that i could use as a template for all the gaurds instead of drawing it up for all the gaurds.

How about using fill pattern option or creating the cut as library feature and then doing the pattern. But creating that much number of features will increase the file size and the time to rebuild/open. So best will to use appearance as Greg suggested.

Keep in mind. if your shop i going to use the cad file and laser or waterjet the perforations an appreaance is not the way to do it. An appearance is simply putting an image on the surface to make it look like its perforated. So whats behind in a drawing/assembly will not show through (well it will as hidden lines).

When i do a sheetmetal guard like what you have shown i will actually put the holes in and use the fill pattern like stated above, but surpress the fill pattern until the end. It will slow the computer down.
