Metals have lower emissivity, and anodized aluminum lower than stainless steel unpolished, thus they need a higher temperature than a painted surface, for example black, to radiate the same amount of heat to the surroundings. Conversely, for the same surface temperature, painted metals radiate more heat than unpainted ones.
