The heating treatment of stainless steel sheet metal

Clean:

1.the stainless steel sheet metal and fixtures should be removed from oil, salt and paint before heat treatment.

2. Fixtures used for the first time in a vacuum furnace should be degassed and purified in advance at a vacuum level not lower than that required by the workpiece.

Furnaces:

1. aluminum sheet plate is easy to deform during heat treatment. It should be heated on special fixture.

2. the workpiece should be placed in the effective heating area.

Pre-heat:

1. preheating should be carried out for workpieces with complex shapes, sharp changes in cross-section and large effective thickness.

2. The preheating methods are as follows: 800C for the first time, 500 ~ 550C for the second time and 850C for the second time. The rate of temperature rise for the first time should be limited.

Heating:

1. Workpieces, castings and weldments with grooves and no through holes, and aluminium sheet metal workpieces formed by machining, which are generally not suitable for heating in a salt bath furnace.

2. The workpiece should be heated with sufficient time to keep warm, and can be calculated according to the workpiece effective thickness and conditional thickness (actual thickness multiplied by workpiece shape factor) with reference to Tables 5-16 and 5-17.

Cooling:

1. when the aluminum plate is air cooled, it should be scattered in dry place.
