There are two types of automobile hubs, steel hubs and alloy wheels. The steel wheels have poor heat dissipation, heavy weight, and easy to rust. They have light weight, good heat dissipation performance, and can reduce the weight of the car body. Therefore, the aluminum alloy hubs are used to replace steel hubs.

Mingtai Aluminum has 6061 aluminum alloy plates for hubs. The temper is O-state, the thickness specification is 5.5-7.5mm, and the width is 1220mm. This hub aluminum plate 6061 and ordinary aluminum plate 6061 have different processing technology because the wheels are running. The process requires long-term wear and tear, so the fatigue resistance of aluminum is very high. Therefore, the aluminum used for the 6061 hub manufactured by Mingtai is a soaked aluminum ingot. The temperature control of the hot rolling is strict, including the cold rolling process and the annealing process. All of them are produced strictly in accordance with the hub aluminum. After the customer takes the aluminum plate, the aluminum plate is made into an aluminum cylinder, which is then welded and then spin-formed into the shape of the hub. After quenching and aging treatment, the strength of 6061T6 is achieved. A key process is to test the wear resistance of the hub. Generally, the number of turns is used as the unit. The normal standard should reach more than 300,000 turns and the hub should not be perforated or cracked.
The materials of Mingtai Aluminum have been finally polished. In order to make the wheels beautiful, the hubs used in China are generally painted and the cost is low. Most of the foreign wheels are plated and polished. Aluminum wheels for wheel hubs are currently used. The number of domestic manufacturers is still relatively small. At present, passenger cars are the mainstay, but they will gradually develop into new energy buses and trucks.
