There is nothing wrong with aluminium coil. Future of Air Conditioner would be on aluminium coil. I will explain why people are often reluctant to buy ACs with Aluminium Condenser Coil.

Basically ACs comes with two types of Condenser Coil - Copper and Aluminium

Since these are placed outside and would have direct interation with atmosphere outside. Being a highly active material with coastal conditions, aluminium tends to corrode faster at such conditions. However, there are many advanced coatings are now available which will extend the life of coil. Also another disadvantage of Aluminium coils is , it is almost difficult to repair Aluminium coils if there is a bend or small hole is found. Whereas in copper, it can be repaired and joints can be welded.

Other than above points, aluminium is much cheaper than copper and also have more area of heat transition as it comes as PFC (Fins and Tubes).

your AC is covered under warranty for 1 year. You can opt for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) with Voltas after 1 year which will cover your AC for warranty with minimal charges. Also if your area is coastal side or high with moisture content, Voltas itself will change your coil to Copper if required.
