Both 1060 aluminum circle and 3003 aluminum circle are regular members of aluminium round circles. It’s difficult to distinguish them by appearance, but there are differences actually.

They first differ in mechanical contents and properties.

The 1060 aluminum circle is pure aluminum with an aluminum content of 99.6% or more and a density of nearly 2.7, which is about one-third of that of iron. The melting point is 660.37 ° C, the boiling point is 2750K. Commonly used 1060-O state aluminum plate, 1060-H14 state aluminum plate, 1060-H24 state aluminum plate, 1060-H18 state aluminum plate. It is mainly used for semi-hard aluminum plate for stamping hardware, thermal insulation aluminum for pipe insulation project, 1060-O aluminum round plate for mold deep drawing, and five-ribbed plate for ground anti-skid.

The 3003 aluminum circle is an aluminum-manganese alloy which cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. The manganese content can increase the recrystallization temperature of the alloy. The heat treatment method is only annealing, and the annealing temperature is 400-600 °C. 3003 is an alloyed aluminum round plate with good corrosion resistance. Commonly used states are divided into 3003-O state aluminum plate, 3003-H12 state aluminum plate, 3003-H22 state aluminium round circles, 3003-H14 state aluminum plate, 3003-H24 state aluminum plate, 3003-H16 state aluminum plate, 3003-H26 state aluminum plate, 3003-H18 Aluminum plate. It is mainly used for some products or engineering applications with high corrosion resistance requirements such as pipeline insulation.

The second difference is application. Although both are widely used in electronics, daily chemicals, medicine, culture and education, auto parts, thermal insulation, machinery manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, military, mold, construction and printing etc. The application results are varied. For example, kitchen utensils of 3003 aluminium circles are harder and lampshades of 3003 are more corrosion resistant. However, in conditions requiring little about hardness and corrosion resistance, the 1060 aluminum circle is a better choice, for it costs less.

In a word, 3003 aluminum circle and 1060 aluminum circle differ from each other in mechanical contents, properties and application. Purchasers should select a suitable one in accordance to their specific needs.
