okay so im suppose to develop an electrostatic series using a suspended comb that has bin rubbed in wool to give the comb a negative charge, then it says to bring objects near and observe how the comb moves with respect to the object, so ive done that with aluminum foil, paper, eraser, glass, magnet, cotton a loonie and every single one has moved towards the comb so im really not sure how to order them from most electropositive to electronegative with those results could anyone please tell me what ive done wrong or the next step, thanks really appreciate it , ill choose a best answer!SmileYou need a way to separate the influence of electrostatic induction (bringing your comb near a conductive object will redistribute the charges, causing the similar charge to move away from it and the opposite charge to move toward it) from actual charges on the object.  Or maybe the purpose of the experiment is to distinguish objects which support induction (conductive) from othersHave you measured the magnitudes of the attractive forces and looked for trends?Other related question
