Are parakeets allergic to aluminum because I wanted to use a metal pie pan for a bird bath.Aluminum is poisonous for birds (and not good for us either) Better to use a glass bowl or pie plate for the bird\'s bath.a metal pie pan is fine, i use one too i just put it in the bottom of the cage, but i must say they enjoy getting sprayed loads more.ask a nice bird vetOther related question
